こんにちは、山口自主夜間中学校やまぐちじしゅやかんちゅうがっこうのスタッフです。

Hello, we are volunteer staff working for Yamaguchi volunteer-based secondary night school.

慣なれない土地とちで生活せいかつしていく上うえで様々さまざまな不便ふべんさがあると思おもいます。特とくにコミュニケーションの壁かべや、基本的きほんてきな学習がくしゅうをしたいと考かんがえる方かたも多おおいいのではと推測すいそくします。私わたしたちは、このような方かたを支援しえんできるよう活動かつどうしていきたいと思おもいますので、お気軽きがるにご相談そうだん下さい。

自主夜間中学校とは？（じしゅやかんちゅうがっこう）What is a night school?

戦後せんごの混乱期こんらんき、不登校ふとうこう、病気びょうきなど、様々さまざまな理由りゆうで義務教育ぎむきょういくをきちんと終おえることが出来できなった方かたたちのために、仕事しごとや家いえの用事ようじを終おわらせてからでも通かよえるように、夜よるに授業じゅぎょうがおこなわれる学校がっこうの事ことです。

Night schools were established for those who were unable to complete compulsory education due to various reasons, such as school anxiety , illness and the postwar chaos.

国くにも公立こうりつの夜間中学校やかんちゅうがっこうを各県かくけんで作つくり出だしていますが、まだまだ足たりない状況じょうきょうです。山口県やまぐちけんもまだありませんので、公立こうりつでなくボランティアとして活動かつどうしています。中学校卒業資格ちゅうがっこうそつぎょうしかくは得えられませんが、生活せいかつをする上うえで役やくに立たつ勉強べんきょうはして頂いただけると思おもいます。

The government has established public junior high schools offering night classes in each prefecture, but the number is still insufficient. Because Yamaguchi prefecture offers no public night schools,we decided to start a volunteer-based one.

Although you cannot obtain a junior high school diploma by attending our class, we believe you will learn something useful for your daily life.

何が学べる？（何が学べる？）　What can you learn?

ご自分じぶんの勉強べんきょうしたい事ことを中心ちゅうしんに、基本的きほんてきにはマンツーマンで指導致しどういたします。日本語教室にほんごきょうしつではありませんが、日本語にほんごの使つかい方かたなども学まなんで頂いただけると思おもいます。

Our school offers self-paced, one-on-one lessons focusing on what you want to study.
Although we have no Japanese language classes, we will be happy to help you improve your Japanese.

小学校しょうがっこう～中学校ちゅうがっこうまでの各科目かくかもくの学まなび直なおしが可能かのうですので、ボランティア教師きょうしと一緒いっしょに勉強べんきょうしていきましょう。

Ｑ．開催日かいさいびは決きまっていないのですか？
When do you offer classes?

Ａ．会場かいじょうの予約よやくの都合つごうで日程にっていが変かわりますので、詳細しょうさいはお電話でんわ、メールでお話致はなしいたします。
The class schedule varies depending on room availability. Feel free to contact us by phone or e-mail for more information.

Ｑ．どんな内容ないようで教おしえてもらえますか？
 What subjects do you teach?

Ａ．基本的きほんてきに1:1で、生徒せいとさんの勉強べんきょうしたい内容ないようにそって勉強べんきょうします。
Our school offers self-paced, one-on-one lessons focusing on what you want to study.

Ｑ．どんな教科きょうかが勉強べんきょうできますか？
What subjects can I study?

Ａ．小学校しょうがっこうの範囲はんいなら「算数・国語・理科・社会さんすう・こくご・りか・しゃかい」。中学校範囲ちゅうがっこうは「英語・数学・理科・社会・国語えいご・すうがく・りか・しゃかい・こくご」です。
At the elementary school level, we offer mathematics, Japanese, science and social studies. At the junior high school level, we offer English, mathematics, science, social studies and Japanese.

Ｑ．申もうし込こみ方法ほうほうは？
How can I apply for the class?

Ａ．お問合といあわせページからお申もうし込こみ下ください。学生がくせいさんの場合ばあいは保護者ほごしゃの方かたが同様どうように申もうし込こみをお願ねがいします。

Ｑ．無料むりょうとありますが、本当ほんとうに費用ひようはかかりせんか？
Is studying at Yamaguchi volunteer-based secondary night school free of charge as described?

Ａ．授業料じゅぎょうりょうは一切いっさいいただきませんが、ご自身じしんの教材きょうざいや文具代ぶんぐだいは自己負担じこふたんとなります。
We do not charge any tuition. However, students are responsible for buying their study materials and stationery.

Ｑ．見学けんがくは可能かのうでしょうか？
May I observe the class before applying?

Ａ．ご案内あんないするスタッフの準備じゅんびがありますので、事前予約じぜんよやくをして下さい。
Yes. Please make an appointment, and our staff will show you around.

Ｑ．先生せんせいは固定こていですか？
Do I always have the same teacher?

Ａ．毎回変まいかいかわります。
No, volunteer teachers change every time.

Ｑ．先生せんせいと上手うまくコミュニケーションが取とれない場合ばあいはどうすれば良よいですか？
What should I do if I have trouble communicating with my teacher?

Ａ．そういう場合ばあいもあると思おもいますので、代表だいひょうや副代表ふくだいひょうに遠慮えんりょなくご相談下そうだんください。

We have students of all ages, from youth to the elderly, who come to our night school to relearn. Our philosophy is that while studying from textbooks is essential, spending time with the people you study with, including volunteer staff and other students, is as valuable.
